   As one cycle ends and another begins, everything renews. With the arrival of the new year, on behalf of all my colleagues at HHMAX-ENERGY, I extend our sincerest gratitude and warmest New Year wishes to the government departments at all levels, research institutions, universities, investment organizations, partners, and all friends from various sectors of society who have accompanied and supported us along the way, and who care about China’s fusion energy endeavor.

   Looking back at 2025, it was the inaugural year for HHMAX-ENERGY, marking our transition from a technological blueprint to an engineering milestone. In early February, the renovation project of our base in Chengdu Economic Development Zone officially commenced, signaling a leap from laboratory-scale “simulation verification” to the new phase of engineering implementation. This solid first step would not have been possible without the clear guidance of national and local policies or the nurturing environment of Chengdu, a hub of innovation.

   True brilliance illuminated in the height of summer. In July, when the HHMAX-901 device was energized and golden plasma filled the quartz tube as expected, we knew this was more than just the operation of a fusion device—it was a milestone on China’s path toward commercializing the linear field-reversed configuration fusion approach. This innovative journey, distinct from mainstream fusion technology routes in China, carries the commercial vision of “lower costs, faster iteration, and superior energy utilization” for fusion devices, and embodies the collaborative efforts and unwavering dedication of all HHMAX-ENERGY colleagues.

   This year, we shone brightly in the industry. From receiving guidance from leaders of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and the Ministry of Science and Technology, to providing insights for national and provincial fusion industry standards and policies; from the spotlight at the China International Industry Fair to the world stage of the International Atomic Energy Agency Fusion Energy Conference; from a formidable debut at the National Disruptive Technology Innovation Competition to a top-prize win at the provincial “Maker China” finals; from in-depth interviews with Xinhua News Agency and CCTV to focused coverage by various global media—the name HHMAX-ENERGY has always been closely linked with the innovative force of China’s fusion energy sector. We recognize that only through innovative breakthroughs and honing our capabilities can we earn recognition; only by holding fast to our dreams and keeping our feet on the ground can we earn trust.

   At the same time, we remain soberly aware that igniting plasma is only the first step toward our ultimate dream. Looking ahead to 2026 and beyond, HHMAX-ENERGY’s strategy is clear and steadfast: we will continue to adhere to the pragmatic approach of “laying eggs along the way.” On the journey toward the ultimate energy source, we aim to first apply fusion neutrons in material testing platforms, BNCT cancer treatment, medical isotope production, and other fields to achieve practical implementation and commercial returns. This will not only support our R&D efforts but also contribute HHMAX-ENERGY’s strength to societal and industrial progress.

   Simultaneously, our core mission of advancing toward the “artificial sun” will not slow down. In the new year, we will commence the construction of neutron shielding facilities while carrying out research and development work on power generation mechanism verification and energy recovery. Our goal is to achieve a preliminary net energy output on the scale of 10MW by 2028, heralding the dawn of commercial fusion energy generation. This is a race against time and a competition with global peers. To this end, we will embrace a more open mindset and pragmatic spirit, actively deepening integration with government, industry, academia, research, and financial sectors, so that the collective innovative strength of the future industry converges into an unstoppable wave of fusion progress.

   Friends and partners, we are engaged in a great endeavor that is bound to shape the future destiny of humanity. Thank you to every investor and partner for your trust and support—you are the most reliable supply stations on this expedition. And above all, thank you to this era and our nation for providing the vast stage on which we pursue our ultimate dream.
