CCTV News focuses on the development of future industries, with fusion enterprises such as HHMAX-ENERGY receiving special attention
In the inaugural year of the "14th Five-Year Plan", China's future industrial development is accelerating comprehensively, with innovation achievements emerging rapidly. All regions are making intense preparations, injecting strong innovative vitality into high-quality development and providing new momentum. On March 17th, CCTV's "CCTV News" broadcast a special program titled "Uniting Efforts, Working Hard, Striving for a Good Start in the 14th Five-Year Plan: Comprehensively Planning Future Industries, Activating New Momentum for High-Quality Development", reporting on the progress and policy support in various fields of China's future industries. The program also showcased the construction of fusion enterprise devices such as Hanhai Juneng.

The news mentioned that since the beginning of the year, China has been making frequent achievements in various fields of future industries: quantum computing has set new records one after another, experiments on controllable nuclear fusion large-scale scientific devices have continued to make breakthroughs, China ranks first in the world in terms of core technical indicators and patent holdings in the non-invasive direction of brain-computer interfaces, and innovative achievements continue to emerge.

The news points out that future industries represent the development direction of a new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation, and are key areas for building new competitive advantages for the country and shaping new drivers of economic development. The General Secretary attaches great importance to the development of future industries. At the beginning of this year, the first collective study session of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee focused on the forward-looking layout and development of future industries. At the meeting, the General Secretary profoundly expounded on a series of major issues such as why and how to develop future industries, providing a clear direction for the development of future industries.

The news also provided detailed reports from three aspects: "intensifying efforts in tackling key and core technologies, accelerating the transformation and application of scientific and technological achievements", "leveraging the main role of enterprises to promote the aggregation of various innovative resources towards them", and "strengthening policy support and improving the governance system". Additionally, the latest achievements in China's fusion research and development were showcased through news footage.

The newly released "15th Five-Year Plan" outlines systematic arrangements for future industrial development, explicitly targeting key areas that will lead future progress. It aims to establish a comprehensive cultivation system for future industries, promoting quantum technology, biomanufacturing, hydrogen and nuclear fusion energy, brain-computer interfaces, embodied intelligence, and sixth-generation mobile communications as new economic growth points. Simultaneously, it further refines the supporting institutional framework, clarifies specific implementation vehicles, proposes the establishment of mechanisms for future industry investment growth and risk sharing, organizes the implementation of demonstration projects for future industry development, plans a batch of national future industry research institutes and concept verification centers, and constructs a series of future industry pilot zones to provide stronger support for the development of future industries.

It is worth mentioning that, in terms of supporting fusion projects, various regions across the country have already taken active actions:
 ● Sichuan, January 19th. The Sichuan Provincial Government announced the "List of Key Projects in Sichuan Province for 2026", which includes a total of 830 projects with an estimated investment of 762.48 billion yuan to be completed by 2026. The list specifically mentions the project to enhance the plasma combustion experiment capability of the China Circulation Device for nuclear fusion research and the construction of the China Fusion Energy Industry Innovation Base.
 ● Shanghai, in 2026, has officially arranged 184 major projects in its plan, including the key physical technology project of magnetic-inertial confinement fusion energy system, which is undertaken by Shanghai University of Science and Technology. Facing the national major strategy of energy security, it explores the research and development of magnetic-inertial confinement fusion energy with the goal of high gain and commercial application.
● On March 16th in Anhui, the provincial government website released the "List of Key Projects in Anhui Province for 2026", which includes 488 Category A projects and 1,318 Category B projects. Among them, four fusion energy-related projects, such as the "National Major Scientific and Technological Infrastructure Project for the Comprehensive Research Facility of the Key System of the Fusion Reactor Host Machine at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Hefei", were selected as provincial Category B key projects.
● Hubei has listed fusion energy as a core direction of the "new track for future industries", alongside new energy storage and hydrogen energy, as a provincial key development area. In response to the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) program and the significant demand for future research and development of nuclear fusion energy, Huazhong University of Science and Technology has established the Institute of Fusion and Plasma Research.

In the inaugural year, we must plan for the long term. From the central strategic planning to local policy support, from technological breakthroughs in the laboratory to the completion and implementation of projects, from the cluster development of industrial parks to the demonstration leadership of pilot areas, controlled nuclear fusion is ushering in a new era of development. As a representative of commercial fusion companies in China and Sichuan, HHMAX-ENERGY will actively respond to the call, seize the opportunity, promote breakthroughs in technological research and iterative upgrades of fusion devices, shape China's new economic advantages in the energy field, and usher in a new future of high-quality development.
