The competition's thematic areas were established by comprehensively considering the strategic emerging industries outlined by the national government, regional industrial layouts, and industrial innovation demands, while also addressing the needs of national defense science and technology industrial development. The focus is on identifying and advancing technologies and products that enhance the resilience and security of industrial chains and supply chains. The competition awards Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Merit prizes. Gold, Silver, and Bronze winners receive medals, certificates, and monetary rewards. HHMAX-ENERGY participated with its Linear Field Reversal Configuration (FRC) Controlled Nuclear Fusion Device project. Demonstrating project leadership and accelerating the rapid development of high-tech industrial chains and clusters, it advanced through the rounds to reach the finals and ultimately secured the Bronze Award.

HHMAX-ENERGY Wins Bronze Award at the Competition

Fusion energy, often referred to as the “artificial sun,” offers advantages such as infinite supply, cleanliness, safety, predictability, and high cost-effectiveness. It represents the ultimate form of energy humanity can harness at the current stage of scientific development and holds significant strategic value. Since its inception, HHMAX-ENERGY has steadfastly pursued the dual mission of serving national defense construction and economic-social development. The company places high importance on technological innovation in the field of military-civilian integration and is committed to advancing the commercialization of nuclear fusion.

The company's Field Reversal Configuration (FRC) technology offers a simpler system structure compared to traditional magnetic confinement approaches, resulting in lower construction and operational costs. This makes it more suitable for commercial application and widespread adoption. Beyond power generation, this technology can harness neutrons produced during fusion to develop medical and industrial neutron source applications, serving fields such as cancer treatment, nuclear pharmaceutical isotope production, neutron imaging, and nuclear waste processing. In February this year, the company commenced the renovation of its fusion facility base, systematically advancing subsequent installation and commissioning work. This award will further strengthen the company's development confidence, driving continuous core technology R&D breakthroughs and propelling China's nuclear fusion advancement toward practical implementation.

The competition also featured concurrent activities including achievement matchmaking, roadshow presentations, exhibitions, and exchange seminars. HHMAX-ENERGY showcased its R&D progress and device features at the exhibition, attracting widespread attention from attendees.
