      On July 18, HHMAX-ENERGY successfully held the completion ceremony for the HHMAX-901 main host and the plasma ignition ceremony at its fusion device base. Witnessed by nearly 200 attendees including government leaders, industry experts, investor representatives, and partners, and watched by approximately 2,400 online viewers, China's first commercial linear field-reversed configuration fusion device successfully achieved plasma ignition. This marks a major breakthrough in China's exploration of commercial controllable nuclear fusion, particularly in the commercial application of the linear field-reversed configuration technology route. The “artificial sun” illuminates humanity's future, bringing the dream of energy independence closer to reality.

     Professor Yu Yi of Sun Yat-sen University congratulated the successful power-up of the HHMAX-901 host in his address and outlined the promising prospects for the nuclear fusion industry. Liu Yukai, Partner at LightShip Capital, delivered remarks on behalf of investment institutions, expressing interest in the controlled nuclear fusion field and support for Hanhai Fusion Energy.

      In their addresses, Zhang Ya, Chairman of Chengdu Guoguang Electric Co., Ltd.; Liu Weidong, Chairman of Chengdu Xuguang Electronics Co., Ltd.; and Wang Jinjun, Chairman of Shenzhen Prince New Materials Co., Ltd., expressed optimism about the future of controlled nuclear fusion and pledged active participation in the commercialization process from an industrial chain perspective.

      In his address, Xiang Jiang, Chairman of HHMAX-ENERGY, highlighted China's leading position in global nuclear fusion research. From the record-breaking operational parameters achieved by national scientific facilities like Tokamak-3 and EAST, to the steady advancement of the CFETR project, China's fusion pioneers are writing their own glorious chapter. Today, HHMAX-ENERGY adds a highly representative stroke to this magnificent painting. By adopting a linear field reversal configuration, HHMAX-ENERGY achieves lower construction costs, faster engineering iteration, higher energy density, smaller footprint, and greater application flexibility.       At 10:40 AM, witnessed by distinguished guests and following a collective countdown of 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, the HHMAX-901 main unit powered on, successfully generating plasma and completing the device's ignition. A sun-like golden glow gradually filled the quartz tube of the main host, illuminating the event venue and igniting everyone's fervent dream of infinite clean energy. China's new fusion era officially begins at this moment!


HHMAX-901 Device Successfully Activated


       Subsequently, all attendees entered the facility area up close to explore the cutting-edge technology behind the “artificial sun.” Representatives from HHMAX-ENERGY provided a detailed overview of the construction process and future applications of HHMAX-901. HHMAX-901 was officially initiated in June 2024, with physical design commencing in August. Its parameters align with internationally leading devices of its kind. After multiple iterations of physical and engineering designs, the design was finalized in February this year, marking the transition into the engineering construction phase. The entire vacuum system and support structure have been constructed and assembled, passing vacuum leak detection and insulation withstand voltage tests. Today's successful plasma ignition signifies the facility is now ready for subsequent field reversal experiments. Moving forward, HHMAX-ENERGY will leverage HHMAX-901 to systematically advance research and development of novel controlled nuclear fusion technologies, accelerate breakthroughs in core components, and incubate commercial products along the way.

      From national strategy to local action, controlled nuclear fusion is gaining increasing prominence, with various policies and documents injecting a powerful boost into the industry's development. Earlier this month, the Implementation Plan for Developing Emerging Industries and Accelerating the Cultivation of Future Industries, released by the General Office of the Sichuan Provincial People's Government, explicitly included “Controlled Nuclear Fusion” as a key future industry to be cultivated for the first time in a dedicated paragraph. This represents not only Sichuan's forward-looking strategy but also the nation's high regard and unwavering support for this revolutionary technology poised to shape the future.
