Construction of the HHMAX-ENERGY Facility Base Officially Commences: Marking the Launch of a New Phase in Engineering Implementation
On the morning of February 19, 2025, the groundbreaking ceremony for the HHMAX-ENERGY fusion facility base renovation project was solemnly held in Longquanyi. Leaders at all levels, HHMAX-ENERGY Chairman Xiang Jiang and all employees, industry guests, partners, and others attended the ceremony to witness this significant milestone together.
Since its inception, HHMAX-ENERGY has remained dedicated to the research, development, and innovation of linear field-reversed configuration fusion technology. Along this challenging journey, we have achieved significant milestones, laying a solid foundation for future engineering implementation.
At the ceremony, HHMAX-ENERGY Chairman Xiang Jiang delivered an address. He briefly outlined the company's current R&D achievements, expressed gratitude for the support from all parties, and offered encouragement and recognition to the entire team.

Xiang Jiang stated: “Since the company's inception, we have assembled a professional and innovative R&D team that has overcome numerous technical challenges. We have completed the conceptual and physical designs of the facility and developed system solutions for the vacuum system, power supply system, magnet system, and control system. Concurrently, we have initiated procurement and development activities with numerous supply chain partners and launched joint research initiatives with multiple universities and research institutions.”
“The commencement of the fusion facility base renovation project marks a crucial step toward engineering implementation and represents a new beginning. Moving forward, we will remain dedicated to advancing controllable nuclear fusion technology, ensuring construction progresses according to schedule. We aim to complete the facility's assembly as soon as possible and drive the transformation of technological achievements into practical commercial applications.”
Amid enthusiastic applause, the ribbon-cutting ceremony commenced. Representatives from collaborating institutions—including the Sichuan Provincial Natural Resources Experimental Testing Research Center, Shanghai Pusu Technology Co., Ltd., Chengdu Guoguang Electric Co., Ltd., and the Southwest Institute of Nuclear Industry Survey and Design—alongside relevant leaders from HHMAX-ENERGY, jointly cut the ribbon to launch the reconstruction project of the fusion device base.
