Company News | HHMAX-ENERGY Fusion Facility Base Renovation Fully Completed

By mid-June, the renovation of the HHMAX-ENERGY fusion device facility was fully completed, meeting all requirements for commencing installation and construction of the HHMAX-901 device. Currently, on-site installation and commissioning of the device's various systems have commenced sequentially. Critical device experiments, including vacuum sealing tests for the formation zone, will soon follow to ensure the timely completion and operational readiness of the company's linear field-reversed plasma experimental device.

HHMAX-ENERGY Facility Base

Fusion device R&D is a complex, multidisciplinary systematic engineering endeavor. Unlike typical scientific experimental apparatus, fusion devices impose stringent requirements on their host facilities. Since the HHMAX-901 project was established at the Chengdu Jinmaite Advanced Manufacturing Industrial Park in February this year, base renovation has commenced rapidly. Work has focused on constructing the main device area, building the power supply and distribution systems, installing the grounding grid, setting up laboratories, and constructing the control room and data center. All standards are being strictly implemented to ensure quality and safety while pursuing speed.

Plant Area

The main unit area has been fully constructed and now forms an independent zone. The power supply and distribution system has been built from scratch according to the unit's requirements, effectively meeting the conditions for subsequent commissioning and experimental operation. The dual grounding grid system has been constructed. Addressing the facility's specialized grounding requirements, the project R&D team designed a unique dual grounding grid system. This ensures independent grounding for all facility systems, laying a solid foundation for comprehensive commissioning and testing. It guarantees that subsequent experimental and diagnostic data for the entire facility remains unaffected.

Laboratory Area

All system-level laboratories have been completed. Subsequent R&D teams will progressively conduct relevant experiments, measurements, validations, and debugging for each system within these facilities. Construction and interior finishing of the central control room have been finalized. Ongoing efforts will focus on supplementing and refining the control room's functionalities to ensure all equipment control and experimental operations can be performed from within the control room during later phases.

The comprehensive completion of the site renovation signifies that the facility now possesses all fundamental conditions for equipment installation and commissioning. The HHMAX-901 device has also commenced its installation and construction work smoothly. Moving forward, HHMAX-ENERGY will focus on on-site installation and commissioning of the device, accelerating its construction completion. The company will conduct associated integrated commissioning tests to further advance research on linear field reversal technology, thereby accelerating the commercialization of nuclear fusion.
